Terms of Service
Last updated: March 4, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using FastLog ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these terms at any time — continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
2. Description of Service
FastLog is a web-based time tracking tool that integrates with Atlassian Jira. It allows authenticated users to view, create, edit, and delete worklogs on their Jira instance. FastLog acts as a proxy between you and your Jira Cloud instance — we do not store your worklog data long-term beyond short-lived caching for performance.
3. Account and Access
- You must provide a valid email address to create an account via one-time passcode (OTP) authentication.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and any Jira API tokens you provide.
- You must not share your account or API tokens with others.
- You must have authorization to access the Jira instance you connect to FastLog.
4. Jira Integration
- FastLog connects to your Jira Cloud instance using the API token you provide. We encrypt this token at rest using AES-256-GCM and never expose it to the browser.
- All Jira operations are performed server-side on your behalf. FastLog only executes operations you explicitly initiate (logging time, editing worklogs, deleting worklogs, searching issues).
- FastLog does not require or request Jira admin permissions. Only standard user-level access is needed.
- You can disconnect your Jira credentials at any time from the Settings page, which permanently deletes your stored token.
5. Free Trial and Billing
- New accounts receive a 3-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required for the trial.
- After the trial expires, a paid subscription is required to continue using the Service.
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe. FastLog does not store your credit card details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically. You can cancel at any time through the billing portal — access continues until the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us if you believe a charge was made in error.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or connected systems.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service beyond its intended API.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
7. Intellectual Property
FastLog and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by FastLog and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your worklog data and Jira content remain yours — we claim no ownership over it.
8. Service Availability
We aim to keep FastLog available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or factors beyond our control (including Jira API outages). We are not liable for any losses caused by service downtime.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FastLog and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We will delete your stored data (profile, encrypted tokens, cached worklogs, presets, and feedback) upon request.
11. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
